At around 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday morning, officers were called to Lidl in the 5700 block of Ritchie Highway to investigate a reported robbery involving a victim who said he was approached by a man known to him only as "Rabbit" who asked for a cigarette, police say.

When the man went to look for a cigarette, it is alleged that "Rabbit" took out a screwdriver and demanded that his victim empty his pockets. He then went through his pockets and stole cash before running off behind the store.

He has not been seen since.

"Rabbit" was described by police as being a White man in his 20s who is approximately 5-foot-9 weighing between 120 and 130 pounds with short blonde hair. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a gray flannel and black pants.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or robbery has been asked to contact the Anne Arundel County Police Department Tip Line at (410) 222-4700.
